Citadel Projects (Pty) Ltd (Citadel) founded in 2008, is a professional design and build company providing tunkey solutions, encapsulating three principle disciplines, Architecture, Quantity Surveyor and Construction. Citadel is at the forefront of development in non-conventional building systems delivery in southern Africa.

Through extensive experience and protracted developmental work with some of South Africa’s leading multinational companies, Citadel is one of the leading companies in the development of alternative ‘framed’ building technologies and their application to all types of low-rise construction. Citadel has lead the development of delivery systems for the practical implementation of structures and have demonstrated this in being the first and only company to successfully bring to market a fully ‘modular’ affordable house. The success of Citadel work in this field has allowed it to have unrivalled access to suppliers and research companies such that all practical delivery implications are understood, which include:

A biography of the principles

Andile Jojo Candidate Architectural Draughtsperson A Draughtsman who studied architecture at M.L Sultan Technikon 2001 to 2003 and at Durban Institute of Technology 2004 and 2005 and worked for Umhlathuze Architects 2006 and 2007 and then moved to Johannesburg to work for Blue Bay Architects 2008 and 2009, worked for Humane Homes 2010 to 2014 brings exceptional skills and experience to the designs and production of drawings and the technical documentation required to execute Citadel projects. He shares the vision of addressing the housing challenge and works on site giving him complete supervision of work in the field, and in the fabrication process, equipping him with the knowledge of the details required to achieve the highest quality project possible and deliver the greatest customer value. Founding director of Citadel (Pty) Ltd in addition to being a principle in the Company Citadel Projects (Pty) Ltd.

Kelvin Nemacha Dip. QS (Harare) An experienced quantity surveyor with a long track record in both ‘field’ deployments requiring project management control along with conventional cost & quantity measuring skills. A principle of the company Citadel and a founding director of Citadel Projects (Pty) Ltd. Of particular importance is the ability, from project experience, in quantifying the implications of cross-border developments and an expert in alternative framed construction methods.
